Jim Corbett Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the tiger reserves in the
country. It has large population of tigers, leopards and
elephants. The national park is home to the most precious wildlife
in India and the diverse species of flora and fauna accommodating
various tree species, mammal species, bird species and
reptile species. Located in the foothills of the Himalayas is the
majestic Corbett Wildlife Sanctuary. Home to a variety of flora

The best visiting season of Corbett is from November to Junes.
Corbett remains closed between June and November, when the
monsoons flood the river beds and cut the fragile road links. One
can get there by Air, by Rail or by Road. All visitors to Corbett
National Park have to obtain permits from the park administration
centre at Ramnagar.
Special Attractions
Ramnagar: It is famous for fishing camp and is the main
centre of administration near the national park. At Lohachaur the
sport buffs have a wide scope of angling and fishing Mahseer.
Wildlife Viewing: The animals like Chital, Sambhar, and
various other Deer species can be seen and the dense jungle be
explored in the two-hour elephant safari. Jeep Safari is the most
convenient mode of exploring the Corbett Wildlife Sanctuary.
Jeep Safari in Corbett : Jeeps Safari, is the most
convenient way to travel within Corbett Wildlife Sanctuary, and
can be rented for the park trips from Ramnagar, from the KMVN
Tourist Lodge and other travel agencies . Bus services are also
provided to Dikhala from Ramnagar.
